Contempt, "Melted Like Wax".
Listen! To the cries from barren slopes,
Of Energy lost, for want of true root and bough.
Instead, steel growths stand alone, like copses,
Full grown plantings, in the sea,
That suck up earth's blood, for excesses from steel,
For man's greed --lubricating their inventions.
Speedily, new excuses were forged for ripening,
To embolden more human fruitage for fire.
Daring, disregarding His Law, their
Predecessors were "melted like wax":
That some --singed-- may have fear
And glorify God.
Before these 'trees' melt, rust or sink.
Human fruit remaining: Be obedient,
in Godly fear and security live.
Only foolishness on stilts, live above the sea,
New blossoms, men in daily fear, quake in its
Branches, waiting to be caught and melted like wax.
Replacements were sent to try His patience,
Fiery warnings against contempt His reminder.
Heed it, for it is to serve men during these times.
"Wherever he turned his eyes, everything that they
fell on was seized with terror; and wherever the
sound of his voice reached, all who heard it
Melted Like Wax At The Touch Of Fire."
..."Then my son will convict of their Godless deeds
the nations that confront him. This will correspond
to the storm you saw. He will taunt them with their
evil plottings and the tortures they are soon to endure.
This corresponds to the flame. And he will destroy them
without effort by means of the law--and that is like the fire."
(From the Apocrypha. 2 Esdras 13:3, 4, 37, 38
of The New English Bible).
Men who contemptuously and needlessly risk their lives, particularly on oil platforms at sea, are showing contempt for God, His Law, and of course life itself. They who witnessed those who "melted like wax" had evidence of Divine warnings by means of fire, such as at the Kings Cross disaster, The Manchester airliner and Hillsborough stadium disasters, etc, fulfilling 2 Esdras Ch.13 (NEB).
