Changed, By A New Spirit Birth.

For years I failed to find my God,

While under the spoiling tyrant's rod.

And not knowing how to break away,

Until knowledge like a birth began one day.

It was the substitution that became so clear,

To do God's Will, not my own once held so dear.

Then spirit freedom began flooding in,

Removing worldly darkness, and inherited sin.

My fleshly 'veil' of ignorance God took away,

Openly exposing satan's evil way.

God's Will contained in his Son's covenant Word,

Mosaic laws made obsolete when Christ's sacrifice occurred.

I now obey Christ, his love, and disciplines too,

With the faith and knowledge I actively pursue.

After thirty years obeying the Lord's Word,

I am happier in the new things preferred.

Though Adam's sin shows in me now and then,

Visits me less than before, which was more often.

It is written God forgives most sins, but not all,

So I am careful not to honour dishonour, and fall.

Soundness of mind we should learn how to protect,

Bearing in mind, our flesh will not be made perfect.

Being overly-righteous can be a strain on nerves,

Destroys all good towards those it wrongfully serves.

Wisdom is fine, it should always be sought. Not end

like Solomon, worshipping false gods, was caught.

So faith, a 'narrow path' in life, I choose to walk,

But meaningless to those whose faith is only talk.

IT IS IMPORTANT TO GET ONTO
THE "WAY OF HOLINESS".

The free gift of human life was given to us for the sole purpose of gaining spirit growth, and for no other reason.

Sadly, the great majority of reasoning adults have other ideas for living out their lives. From the many experiences they have had during their lives, they firmly believe they have sufficient knowledge to turn down the "WAY OF HOLINESS" (1) when it is explained to them, even though they realise it originates from the Giver of life, Almighty God.

When one offers wise direction, for them to begin fulfilling their real spirit need, their immediate response is a definite, No, No.

The main reason for this reaction is they fear that their 'secret place', their spirit, will be shown up to the light of truth; and possibly that their sins may be shown up publicly. But by saving themselves from being humbled rather than show a genuine self-sacrificing love for God, they are losing their very spirit soul, and the very meaning of their lives! God does not forgive or give life to our inherited sinfulness; unless by our appeal to Him for forgiveness through His Son's ransom sacrifice we seek to be forgiven of the sin handed down to us from Adam; in order we can be forgiven and go forward to inherit the promises of God.

Those who have put on The Christ, like a 'garment' of active faith, and who have offered up their vow to serve The Will of their Creator, symbolise it by their baptism. Then they begin to be renewed from day to day, not in their flesh, but growing from their spirit rebirth towards inheriting the promised everlasting bliss in the spirit heavens with God. We come to realise that our first birth, in our imperfect flesh, is significant only in assisting us to develop our all-important everlasting portion, our spirit. And this takes place when we overcome the restraints and troubles of our fleshly lives -- much of which we inherited from the first unforgiven sinner Adam, who never even commenced sharing in the creation of his spirit.

An example and unexpected way of Christ's love was shown in the measures he undertook to turn around an extremely stubborn sinner, for him to inherit salvation and become an apostle for the benefit of the nations. The Christ began bringing this man to his proper senses by blinding him. Up until that time, his ignorant life had been directed at persecuting followers of The Christ. The man, of course, was Paul. His misguided zeal was corrected and he was chosen to serve the Gentile nations with the "good news" of opportunity to gain salvation. Paul's sight was restored, and he was given spiritual insight, manifest in his letters, preaching, and living examples.
