AN UNLAWFUL ACTIVITY:
AIR TRAVEL.Tons of metal, and flesh, are flown,
Above
human souls both day and night,
To quench the greed of careless airlines,
While passengers dismiss their plight.
Christ said his Law "is like the fire", (1)
Survivors escaping its touch take fright,
Of perilous living the Lord has warned us,
That those remaining may see the light.
The last wrath of God as foretold to John,
Poured "upon the air" (2) with
His Spirit might,
While many visit places where reeds sway,
At home they can see the very same sight! (3)
Do the readers of this plan to fly
yet again?
Or be guided by what they know to be right?
Many have witnessed these lawful flames,
Incineration in aircraft seats bound tight.
Sacrificed lives are to teach men better ways, (4)
The thoughts of those morally deaf are known,
But until God's gift of life is cherished aright,
To outlawed sinners the flames will be shown. (1)
