THE CHRIST JESUS DIED ON A STAKE,
NOT ON A CROSS.
This illustration exposes the self-glorifying trappings that
evil church leaders use to deceive gullible ones into believing that
these leaders have authority from God to represent Him in spiritual matters
despite having none of the spiritual qualifications. (See
2 Tim 4:3,4). Click on: Church Scandals
In the Word
of God our Lord refers to sectarian church leaders in the following ways:
(1) |
They "ape outlandish fashions". (Zeph 1:8,9 NEB
& NWT). |
|
(2) |
They dress "in
silver and in gold
and
in purple" and put on more
adornments than a woman.
(The Book of Enoch XCV111:2,3). Click on:

(3) |
They are
"wanting in doctrine and wisdom".
|
A STAKE, NOT A CROSS. |
(1) |
There is no scriptural evidence to
suggest that our Lord Jesus died on a crossbeam attached to a stake
(i.e. a cross). |
|
(2) |
The
"torture stake" is stau.ros' in Greek, and means an
upright stake or pale. (See Matt 27:40 and 16:24). On an upright
stake or pale Jesus was impaled. |
QUESTION:
If a member of your family whom you loved was tortured and
crucified to death, would you wish to be constantly reminded of the
brutal nature of his death by seeing people wearing a symbolic ornament on a
chain to remind you of his sufferings?
Almost all those who wear a cross will tell you that they believe in Christ.
But if you were to ask them how one carries out the
Will God through The Christ, in almost every instance they would tell you
that they do not know! So really then, they are hypocrites, lost in ignorance.
They are an
offence to all true followers of The Christ Jesus.
