DOMINEERING WOMEN ARE NOT A GLORY
OF THEIR HUSBANDS. (1 Cor 11:7).

"A woman must be a learner, listening quietly and with due submission. I do not permit a woman to be a teacher, nor must woman domineer over man; she should be quiet". (1 Timothy 2:11,12 New English Bible).

"Woman in quietness let her be learning in all subjection; to be teaching but to woman not I am permitting, nor to be playing master of male person, but to be in quietness." (1 Timothy 2:11,12. Greek text translated by Westcott and Hort).

THE REASON GIVEN FOR THE ABOVE RESTRICTION:
"…it was not Adam who was deceived; it was the woman who, yielding to deception, fell into sin." (1 Timothy 2:14 NEB).

Without any satanic influence being effective within him, Adam then sinned; he listened to the woman instead of listening to the authority of God. Satan used the woman to influence the man Adam, which is the pattern often repeated today. Paul and John, Christ's apostles, made it abundantly clear that the inspired Word from God reaches only as far as Spirit anointed chosen Sons of God. (1 John 2:26,27. See also 1 Cor 14:36 NWT). The word from our Lord does not reach only as far as women, or unsealed men; but is what unsealed men are taught by Spirit anointed men, and then in turn to women by their husbands.

Unfortunately, over successive generations, and even today, over 95% of women domineer over men. For years, some have attended religious meetings with Bible in hand. Other more disobedient women even teach men and women from the pulpit, while at the same time knowingly disregarding The Christ's words through Paul as to the restriction placed on them. God does not bless such disobedience, and they make no further progress in their spirit lives. Instead, they prefer to work at moulding the spirit dispositions of their husbands, so that such men become their vainglory, under them. They loudly raise their voices over men so that men listen only to their voice and will. They eventually become like men, except that they use their wiles and bodies to achieve their empty goal of loveless relationships. Some women say 1 Timothy 2:11,12 applies only to how women should behave in church. Rubbish! Christ's work in his congregation is to readjust the lives of us all, wherever, so that in our God-given positions we all become like him; through his subjecting of us every moment of our lives. (1 Cor 15:27,28).

Domineering women, particularly those of advanced learning and worldly degrees that qualify them for the ways of this world, are only qualified to live out their meaningless lives without God. They cannot, therefore, begin to understand the purpose of God for their souls, certainly not with regard to the way for them, to learn the real meaning of life: The humble way to gain everlasting spirit life. (Isaiah 35:8). Only the humiliation of repeated reproofs could change such domineering women. To those men who conquer this world and observe the Lord's deeds down to the end, will be given the same "iron rod" of authority to shepherd the people, and to break (such disobedience) people like the breaking of clay vessels. (Rev 2:26,27). Some without healing.

"A man (or woman of course) repeatedly reproved but making his (or her) neck hard will suddenly be broken, and that without healing." (Prov 29:1 NWT).

The righteous alternative to being a domineering wife, is to be a helpful complement of her husband regarding his weaknesses. When wives fulfil their God-given allotted place they are happy, and have an enjoyable, interesting, and peaceful relationship with God and their husbands, able to weather life's stormy times with an unshakeable love.

VAINGLORY: Vain or empty glory in one's own performance.
