Men and women who occupy their God-given place in life bring about peace and harmony. But the gap existing between what men and women are permitted, and their Godless disobedience, has certainly widened. After the initial shock, perhaps female readers will reflect on the following verses and become sufficiently irritated as to check the written Word of God.  It may even lead some to make changes for the better. Only the lives of those who are obedient to the order God has instituted are blessed.

 

Equality?

"I know God's Word!  That women are not allowed   To speak or teach in Christ's congregations, that   We are to question our own husbands at home. (1)   But I like to teach from house to house and to   Trample God's Word and male slaves of the Lord." "Obey God's Word!   Or as the "mire of streets" you will become!" (2) "Me and my man are equal!  I refuse to be his glory. (3)   I'd rather pout and wilfully deprive him of his due.   Anyway, my kind cunningly reinterpret God's Word!   Why should we complement men? We are their equal." "Then you shall be abandoned by God,   Along with your unGodly views." "But if my husband lives dishonourably,   I cannot honour dishonour. But you say,   That if I show him chaste conduct instead, (4)   It may help him to change to Christ's holy Way?" "Yes. Throwing tantrums just won't help,   Or to get your own way dishonourably,   Respect your husband, obey God's Word,   And true love He will arrange as you pray."                                                           9/7/98.
