The Lord Gave His Word Also In Illustrations, (1)
And We Offer His Little Scroll, Also Poems.

Foolishly, unbelievers declare the Word to have many
contradictions, but fail to give one authentic example.

Some even said: Christ's words were shocking, (2)
Even now, on his Word many ignorantly trample. (3)

If instead they read and "believed all things" (4) with a
holy need, they would come to see the sacred Way,

Then knowledge of the whole would remove doubts,
and they would find where the sacred purpose lay.

The Christ condensed and abbreviated his predictions
for future times, turning words into pictures.

His "Little scroll" (5) began sweet; is now bitter against
apostates, and permeates these poems with scriptures.

Apostates (6) acquired holy knowledge, but were for a
change,
(7) "trampling" holy ones for a seat of godship.(8)

So they usurped the holy place, changed His times and
law,
(9) seating themselves in a place of self-worship. (10)

There is no salvation for apostates, because they exchanged
the truth for the Lie.
(11)

For misusing God's Law they'll be taken by surprise, for
their contempt will bring continual torment after they die.
