No-Hopers Of The 'Eleventh Hour'.
(From Matt 20:1-16.   2 Cor 3:16
).

In faithless eleventh hour no-hopers do not believe,
Or wear this sin shamelessly on your sleeve.
Each 'hour' is symbolic, today is 179 years;
Concerns self-willed complainers, ending in tears.

Lawless deeds in life are judged, until they end;
Some are forgiven; 'bathed' clean, who did not pretend.
'Eleventh hour' no-hopers are cowards, refusing His Word,
Because persecutions may kill their self-preserving gourd.

But when they are old, with their sins piled high,
They think about God and church, just before they die.
Start reading the Bible, while under a 'veil',
Only obedient servants have it removed, without fail.

When prompted to serve, they make lame excuses,
If disciplined, return with as many abuses.
Before your cord and golden bowl is broken,
With humility, seek forgiveness, in prayers spoken.

Christ has employed many during his ministerial 'day',
And will reward after the 'eleventh hour', he did say.
All servants, from whatever hour, will be resurrected,
To the spirit heavens, but only those Christ subjected.

So why leave one's obligations to God until too late,
Why risk your everlasting future to an unknown fate.
Takes time to be subjected for Christ's name's sake.
Begin now, don't dally, -- Awake!

Most people I know have the mistaken idea that although they do not worship God they will be allowed His mercy at the 'eleventh hour' by appealing to Him regardless of their unreconciled lives. Well, the 'eleventh hour' will be at Christ's second coming, and if this event took place in 1998 the 'eleventh hour' servants in his "vineyard" are those who have been obediently active for him during the last 179 years!
