This image of stone was made flesh.
Faithless ones worshipped this dungy idol,
Drawn out by their Godless desires.
They were judged by the Lord.
From her multiple breasts she gave
demonic suck to millions. Her evil
acts shone upon earth like the moon.
They were judged by the Lord.
Glorified for attending the sick,
While abandoned souls slept in doorways,
A mere walk from her flowered mansion.
She was judged by the Lord.
Parading her adultery for people to follow,
Then the day for goddess Diana arrived,
The "thief" removed her from the land,
To be remembered no longer by the Lord.
"On that day, says the Lord of Hosts,
I will
erase the names of the idols from the land,
and they shall be remembered no longer"
by the Lord or mankind. (Zech 13:2 NEB).
