An Apostate Preacher.

A preacher, while visiting one sick,
Did to me boastfully convey,
His delight in gaining confidences, would then,
'Stick the knife in'-- a traitor's way.

In the likeness of the one who dipped
His morsel in The Christ's last bowl,
And did slyly leave, to betray his Lord
And his very own soul.

Apostasy, revealed in many ways, ends in
Blasphemy, by those who abusively rail.
What enters our mouths is not judged at all,
Only evil words spoken by men who fail.

One's morality by good examples, should be shown,
Or like dead flies in ointment it will spoil.
Hurtful desires when drawn out give birth to sin.
Apostates engage in only destructive toil.
