SOURCES. (2 Esdras 13:1-11 & 25-38 NEB). * After salvation by the exercise of faith in the "good news" of The Christ was brought to a finish (* Rev 10:7), a great earthquake occurred in Mexico City, a tenth of the city fell, and seven thousand men were killed. (Rev 11:13,14). The earthquake signalled the spiritual fulfilment of The Christ's prophecy to the apostle John. It marked the end of the second woe, and the next event "coming quickly": The blowing of the seventh "trumpet" that heralds: "The kingdom of the world did become the Kingdom of our Lord and of His Christ, and He will rule as King forever and ever." (Rev 11:15). This will be followed by the outpouring of seventh "bowl" of the anger of God upon mankind. (Rev 16:17-21). Those witnessing the calamities being poured out upon mankind and through fear give glory to the God of heaven may be saved. (Rev 11:13).
