For Those Who Say There Is No God.

 

Day and night you unbelievers suck on His air,
You drink from His rain,
Eat His many foods,
Bathe, in the warmth of His sun.
He allows you to sleep in the shadow of night.
You laugh, you cry, you sing and debate.

Impartially, God gave the power of reason to man,
And provided him with life-giving laws;
The spiritual qualities of love, joy, and peace,
And the hope of everlasting life to those that
Have an active faith in the ways of His Son.
To some of these, He gave a spirit of wisdom:

Wisdom, through self-discipline, and purity of spirit.
He saves the afflicted, and loves humble ones.
Observe! How His world and stars hang in space,
His intelligent creation in all nature, and its seasons.
Only an Almighty power, and unsurpassing wisdom
Could create such a universe: Almighty God.

Who will unbelievers turn to for mercy and salvation?
Where is their hope to be found? There is no hope in dust.
What resurrection is there for the contemptuous? (1)
Who will save the children who have not known Him?
So why, unbelievers, go on suffering the miseries of life?
Consider what follows, when you boast in foolish unbelief.

"A man is not defiled by what goes into his mouth,
But by what comes out of it." (Matthew 15:10 NEB).
