Human (Dungy) Idols.

The worship of idols is still active in the spirits
Of rebellious souls,
Have wilfully robbed communities of everlasting life
Throughout the generations, from ancient times.

Shaped in wood, stone and metal, men would
Attach their evil rules to satan's images like ghouls.
Now bolder, revealing their shapes in human form;
Dungy idols, that deceive with religious crimes.

Ancient Diana, carved in stone with many breasts,
Gave evil suck to many, to the young and very old,
Did generations later materialize in minds,
And gave many her godless feed, to glorify herself.
Drawing human spirits away from God,
Her image, in them, she tried to mould.

Time and again the Holy Scriptures call attention to the foolishness of relying on gods of wood, stone or metal. God hates all idolatry. How much more so when human (dungy) idols are being worshipped by other humans; such as the apostates called 'the disgusting thing standing in a Holy place' and the mysterious 'man of lawlessness'? (Matthew 24:15. 2 Thessalonians 2:1-12 NWT).
