UNIFORMS OF THE CLOTH.
.

We watched their anguish screened in colour again last night,
And felt their fallen glory, without lament, our own hearts safe.

Considered brave, these cowards died for a worthless freedom,
Their numbers growing with their complications of simple life.

With cowardly fingers they spat death through space and flesh,
Messengers of death with uniforms licensed to kill.

Though some returned alive, they face the Judgement of God,
When the living dead are remembered for all their sins.

They believed they were blessed by men of the cloth, (2)
But share the fate of these Godless ones:  Dust to dust.

While to a vengeful Godless society their hearts belong,
Appalled by the bloodied screen, we turned to fiction's ills.

SOURCES.

Watching the anguish of people on television has become a nightly affair. While true servants of God feel safe, we are aware of the approaching retribution of God and the attendant anguish awaiting Godless ones who sought glory through the killing of their fellow man for their country.  This is not courage but spiritual cowardice     trying to impose freedom by force and offering excuses for not obeying the perfect Law of God.

A Godless society surrenders its will and authority to those sanctioning murder in its name.  Politicians sending men to their deaths in war, are just as guilty of murder as the men they send to kill. And they too have a uniform     one of wealth and privilege. The blessing of such ones are blessings of shame. The spilling of blood has become a staple of television programming, whether fiction or non  fiction.  Indeed, it is often difficult to tell which is which.
